Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. Fight Results: Ends with a Draw!

The last match on Saturday night was a great battle between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. After the full eight rounds at Staples Center, it ended in an unofficial draw. Twitter scorecards of Boxing experts declared Tyson as the winner of the match but the Judges – Chad Dawson, Christy Martin, and Vinny Pazienza stated otherwise. And both fighters left the door open for a return match. For now, there is no champion of the WBC’s new title “Frontline Battle Belt” and it’s open for any fighter.

At 12:20 a.m. ET — Even when Jones gets realized himself, he couldn’t push Tyson back. He only tried to dominate the fight.

At 12:17 a.m. ET — Tyson was pro-active and launching punches more consistently on Jones. He became the aggressor.

At 12:15 a.m. ET — To everyone’s surprise, Tyson was in much better form than Jones, who looked tired and exhausted.

At 12:12 a.m. ET — Tyson has already hurt Jones so bad. He took control of the ring.

Round 3

At 12:10 a.m. ET — Jones received a head-butt that shaken him. This placed him in a very loosed position. Tyson planned these dangerous punches.

At 12:05 a.m. ET — Jones came back hitting Tyson with some good jabs, but Tyson also retaliated with a few punches. Jones is tried to wear down Tyson by constantly clinching him.

Round 1

At 12:00 a.m. ET — There was heavy pressure on both boxing legends. Mike Tyson happened to dominate the opening round with seven powerful punches on Jones but Jones could only reply with two.

At 11:55 p.m. ET — Mike Tyson walked down the rage and was locked in with Roy Jones.

At 11:50 p.m. ET — Roy Jones Jr. made his way into the ring, though the main event was Just about to begin in a few minutes.

At 11:10 p.m. ET — Wow! Jake Paul launched a vicious overhand right on Nate Robinson in the second round, and that was it. The Boxer moved to 2-0 in his boxing career.

 

Badou Jack defeated Blake McKernan; light heavyweights

At 10:45 p.m. ET — Israel Adesanya already said that this fight was faultless for Badou Jack. Badou Jack defeated Blake McKernan throughout the rounds of the fight and walked away with a win via split-decision. No much argument there.

 

Jamaine Ortiz defeated Sulaiman Segawa; lightweights

At 9:55 p.m. ET — Jamaine Ortiz Knocked out Sulaiman Segawa in the 7th Round of the fight with a brutal body shot. Although Segawa tried to fight back but he could not stand on his feet. This is a knockout victory for Jamaine Ortiz.

 

Edward Vasquez defeated Irvin Gonzalez; featherweights

At 8:55 p.m. ET — Edward Vasquez had a split-decision victory over Irvin Gonzalez after an astonishing eight-round fight. Both Vasquez and Gonzalez threw over 1,000 total punches and 600 power punches. It’s going to be difficult to beat this score.
